“We played the RTU game under protest” – Dreams FC Coach, Karim Zito
The head coach of Dreams FC, Abdul Karim Zito has revealed that their Ghana Premier League Outstanding game vs RTU was played under protest due to RTU’s failure to have provided the necessary documents before the game.
RTU allegedly played the game with unregistered players after their first-team players boycotted the match due to salary arrears.
The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has since charged the Tamale-based football club for fielding the said unregistered players.
A school of thought reckons Dreams FC who beat RTU 8-1 could also be implicated but the head coach of Dreams FC speaking in an interview with Kessben TV has divulged that his side filed a protest before the game.
“Based on the information we had before the game that they were going to play with young players, I instructed my team manager to inspect them to provide anything they ought to have produced and after they failed to produce them I ensured that we played the game under protest. We made a protest on that before the game” He said.
