2026 World Cup: “It doesn’t matter how we get there” – Kudus Mohammed

Mohammed Kudus has stated that Ghana wants to qualify for the World Cup in 2026 as three nations namely USA, Canada and Mexico are set to host the Mundial following the expansion of teams from 32 to 48 as Africa have been given 9 slots.

Ghana have played three matches so far in the qualifiers as they have gathered six points out of possible nine only loosing to Comoros and had two wins against Madagascar and Mali.

Speaking at the Prematch conference ahead of the game against Central Africa Republic tomorrow, the West Ham United playmaker said the Black Stars are ready to qualify for the Mundial.

“We all want to go the World Cup. It doesn’t matter how we get there.”
“The belief has always been there, that’s our ultimate goal.”
“Our Coach has his tactics but sometimes the game gets tougher and we just have to do our best and get the best results “. Kudus opined.

Black Stars are confident of their chances ahead of the game tomorrow, especially after having a late win in Bamako against Mali in a crucial away encounter courtesy Jordan Ayew following Ernest Nuamah’s equalizer after the Black Stars conceded first.

Ghana lies third on the Group l table as they have six points each with Madagascar and Comoros after three rounds of games. In a group with Mali, Chad, Central Africa and Comoros, only one team will make it to the 2026 World Cup if that team tops the group.
