A popular female fan of Asante who has been selling at the Baba Yara Stadium for years during matchdays has called on the Club’s hierarchy to sign a top-notch striker.
Asante Kotoko on Sunday recorded their second win in consecutive games following a bad run of results in the second round of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupines beat the league leaders Samartex by 1-0 through a spot kick converted by Enoch Morrison.
The diehard female supporter of the club speaking on Kessben TV after the game was quite impressed with the determined display of the Asante Kotoko players but was quick to acknowledge that the team needs a potent striker upfront.
She urged the technical team headed by Coach Prosper Ogum to sign a top-notch striker to augment the team in the next transfer window.
The leading striker of the club who has so far scored 10 premier league goals, Steven Desse Mukwala is set to leave the club after the end of the season.
Kotoko currently lies 10th on the league log after matchday 27.
