Liberia Camp: Over 700 rooms in Buduburam Ghetto demolished

The Central region’s Gomoa Fetteh traditional leaders oversaw an operation to dismantle the Buduburam ghetto in Liberia Camp.

The goal of the exercise is to put a stop to any illegal activity in the region.

The chiefs have voiced concern over the negative perception of the Liberia Camp.

Reports state that local inhabitants have been terrorized by criminals using the ghettos as a hideout.

Thus, in order to facilitate the construction of the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway, the chiefs decide to tear down the buildings and move the market women who have been conducting business along the side of the road.
