Some members of the Majority oppose the decision for Afenyo Markin to become Majority Leader (Video)

There were many reports circulating that Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the current Deputy Majority Leader, would take over for Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.

The Suame MP’s future in his capacity as Minister for Parliamentary Affairs of the cabinet is still however unknown.

According to the early reports, Habib Iddrisu, the current First Deputy Chief Whip, will take over as Majority Chief Whip when Frank Annoh Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, moves up to become the Deputy Majority Leader.

On Tuesday, February 20th some members of the Majority in parliament stood against the appointment of Afenyo.
