There’s a slim chance for Alan as Independent candidate – Dr. Christopher Ampadu

Political analyst Dr. Christopher Ampadu has expressed that Alan’s choice to run as an independent candidate is a challenging one and has a slim chance to win the 2024 presidential election.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News, Dr. Ampadu stated that the chances of an independent candidate like Alan winning an election are minimal as the competition has always been between the New Democratic Congress(NDC) and the New Patriotic Party(NPP).

He pointed out that no independent candidate has ever secured victory in Ghana’s political history, mainly due to the significant challenges they face in making an impact.

“If Alan wants to make a significant impact, he should put in place new policies and a new plan different from previous candidates”. He said.

Dr. Ampadu concluded that Alan’s choice to distance himself from the NPP would not influence delegates to change their allegiance.
