Life is not straight: “I served NPP with all but not even appointment as a messenger or cleaner under Akufo Addo – Addai Nimo

Aspiring flagbearer of the NPP,  Hon. Francis Addai Nimoh has asserted that life is not that straightforward with respect to rewarding service.

The former member of Parliament for Mampong Constituency speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Akuoko Kwarteng underscored that despite not being rewarded with any appointment under the Akufo-Addo-led NPP Government, he is not perturbed.

Addai stressed after the NPP flagberership race in 2014 where he placed 3rd, he threw his full support for Akufo Addo who emerged winner, and campaigned with him to ensure the NPP party won the 2016 elections.

Despite his support for the NPP throughout the years, Addai has not received any political appointment from the two terms the NPP has been in power and he says he is Okay.

Reacting to rumors about Alan’s intention to deflect from the NPP due to unfair treatment by the party, Addai encouraged Alan to see himself (Addai) as an example who has served well but yet not really appreciated by the party.

“I don’t have a problem with Akufo Addo. Before the race, I met him. I called his secretary to see him and she called back and booked a time with him.

“I went to his office and told him that I would be contesting for the flagbearer’s post. He thanked me for the respect given to him and told me to go and do a decent campaign as he knew me off.

In 2014, I placed third in the flagberership race after that we all supported Akufo Addo. At one of the campaign trail, he did shake my hand after a speech I made but as of today not even a messenger’s position or cleaner’s appointment for me but I’m not perturbed.

In life, you can’t get all straight. Your siblings whom you have the same blood can even go against you. Not all would love you.

People I helped at the party years ago, now I go to party programs and they undermine me but I’m not perturbed” He said.
