Had the online platform not jammed, Kotoko could have gotten 20,000 people at the stadium – Chairman Damanya

The national Circles Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Christopher Damanya has said that Kotoko could have gotten 15,000 to 20,000 people paid to watch the Asante Kotoko’s premier league opener against Heart of Lions last Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

According to him, there were a lot of people behind the stadium who could not buy tickets online to watch the game due to the system being jammed.

The circle leader speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action Sports Show called for the reintroduction of buying tickets at the gate.

He stressed that in an event where the system is jammed when there are so many people trying to buy tickets online, the loss comes to Kotoko.

He also urged Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporters to do well and buy their online tickets ahead of time to avoid the jamming of the system.

To him, it will be better for the authorities to consider making some tickets available to buy at the gates during matchdays.

6234 people bought tickets to watch last Sunday’s game, a massive improvement compared to last season’s Stadium attendance.
