Ashanti region: KASS NMSQ team awarded by old students for emerging as regional champions

Old Students of Kumasi Anglican Senior High School has presented GHS29,000 and seven brand new laptops to KASS students who led the school to win Ashanti regional NSMQ competition.

Lawyer Stephen Boateng gave GHS 5000, GHS2,000 from Dr. Robert Donardy, and 2000 dollars from North American old students, and Mr. Opoku Sarkodie commonly known as Chito gave the seven brand new laptops.

The presentation aimed at motivating and equipping the students to learn assiduously as they are preparing for the National competition of the NMSQ.

Dr Robert Donaldy presented the cash prize and the laptops on behalf of the old students to the seven students including one female at the School on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Dr. Robert Donaldy after the presentation of the prize implored the students to master the courage to face the NMSQ national competition.

He was assured that if the contestants shun every fear and face other schools with confidence, they will crown winners after the national competition.

The students who could not hide their joy, heaped praises on the old students for their enormous contribution to the school’s National Science and Maths Quiz.

The students indicated the laptops especially, has come at the right time to facilitate their studies and they were hopeful to win the national contest.

Mr Richmond Ofosu Minta, KASS NSMQ coordinator for his side also reiterated that because of the intensive training, the teachers are giving to the students, they will secure victory after the contest.

He commended the old students for their continuous support to enhance the progress of Kumasi Anglican Senior School.
