2 sets of couples busted for allegedly robbing a store at Saltpond

In the Central Region’s Mfantseman Municipality, two pairs of couples have allegedly been arrested for robbing a store near Saltpond.

According to a report filed by Nana Tawiah of Kessben FM, the two male and two female suspects were traveling from Winneba to Cape Coast in a taxi with the registration number GC-6020-21 when they stopped, grabbed several passengers’ belongings, and then sped off.

When they got to Saltpond, they stole another person’s luggage, but the victim’s cries for aid woke up some nearby cab drivers. However, luck evaded them when the drivers gave chase after them and arrested them.

They were found with some substances that were allegedly marijuana.

Kojo Owusu and Kwame Bempong, two suspects who are said to be in their 50s, and an unidentified woman, are reported to have committed this crime over the course of three days, robbing them of an undisclosed sum of money.
