Sex toy injuries on the rise among wealthy women – Expert
According to Dr. Raymond Morbu, the CEO of Andel Premier Medical Centre, more affluent lesbian sex partners are attending hospitals for strange discharge from their intimate areas.
He explains this by saying that they utilize sex toys to gratify their sexual needs. He said it was frequently found after diagnosis that foreign things had been left in the vagina.
According to him, cuts and abrasions from this enhance the chance of HIV/AIDS infections.
Dr. Morbu claims that this trend has developed as a result of the widespread public awareness of LGBTQ+ activities in Ghana.
He mentioned that lesbian women occasionally have strange things discovered in their vagina.
In an interview with Accra 100.5 FM on July 10, 2023, Dr. Morbu made these findings while discussing the surge in homosexuality and its effect on the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Ghana.
He added that rich lesbians who use sex toys and indulge in the behavior are the ones that persuade young people to take up the lifestyle.
Concerns regarding homosexuality and its contribution to HIV transmission were also expressed by Dr. Kyeremeh Atuahene, Director General of the Ghana AIDS Commission.
He emphasized the necessity for a comprehensive strategy to address the issue, noting that gays had a greater prevalence of HIV than people in general.
According to Dr. Atuahene, if the anti-LGBTQ+ bill is approved, it will assist stop the spread of HIV by lowering the number of new infections.
