Military storm & attack residents of Ashaiman over the killing of their colleague
Several military personnel invaded Ashaiman early this morning to brutalize people in response to the death of a young soldier.
It was claimed over the weekend that a 22-year-old soldier was stabbed to death by some people in the neighborhood.
Following that, these military troops entered Ashaiman in the early hours of Tuesday while the rain was pouring and began handing out harsh penalties to people.
From the videos on the internet, residents were forced to lie on the ground and crawl on their bellies, while others were beaten with whips on their backs.
Many have criticized the military’s decision to take the law into their own hands.
Meanwhile, others have complimented the military for their violence and for sending a strong message to the citizens of Ashaiman about their willingness to protect their own.
