Following their daughter Meta Mbye’s passing of the virginity test and her husband’s payment of D28,000, or 4,996.40, the Gambian family erupted into wild celebration.
In order to prove that she remained chaste until the time of marriage, the bride was required by custom to go through a virginity test.
Meta’s family joyfully broke into a celebration dance as she came out as a truly chaste woman.
An outside relative of Meta’s verified that her spouse had given her more than D28,000 during the virginity test.
“The husband was so happy that was why he gave her D28,000, which was placed under her pillow,” she said
Online users have responded to the video in a variety of ways. Some have praised her for passing the exam, while others have demanded that it be stopped because they find it embarrassing.
