I did not lie, Management committee did not take 100k appearance fee – Oduro Sarfo sets records straight

Executive committee member of the Ghana Football Association, Oduro Sarfo has reiterated the management committee of the Black Stars did not receive any appearance fees as widely circulated in the local media.

According to an unsubstantiated reports going around in the local media, Alhaji Karem Grusah, a member of the Black Stars Management committee is reported to have said the management committee was paid appearance fees.

Oduro Sarfo in an early interview with Kessben FM/TV had said that the Government did not pay appearance fees to the management committee of the Black Stars.

The executive committee member of FA reacting to the reports going rounds explained that the management member did not take any appearance fees prior or during the World Cup tournament in Qatar.

Oduro Sarfo expounded that it was after the World cup that a discussion for payment for the Management committee as required by the Government white paper was made.

Alhaji Grusah has also come clearer about what is being circulated about him. “I was asked a question by the presenter if we received $100k as appearance fees and I asked back if it is wrong for BS MC members to receive that money. Was that to confirm that we took $100k? In any case, I went on to add that we never received anything as appearance fees. So why will someone say I said we took $100k? Please I never said that. We will cherish if the government will reward us for steering the nation to the World Cup but we have not received any $100k. I’m always available, anyone who wants the truth can call me to confirm.” He said.
