Nana-Kay Still Urges Suspension and Investigation of Sammy Gyamfi Over Agradaa Money Saga

The controversy surrounding Sammy Gyamfi’s alleged $800 “gift” to Nana Agradaa continues to stir public debate. Nana Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah, popularly known as Nana-Kay and a member of the NPP’s National Communications Team, has called for immediate action regarding the matter.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Maakye show, Nana-Kay emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “If someone without a government appointment had done this, it wouldn’t have been news. But Sammy Gyamfi holds a significant public office.”
He highlighted the importance of Gyamfi’s role, noting, “Sammy Gyamfi is the CEO of a sector that greatly contributes to our nation’s revenue. His position oversees all gold deals in the country, including exports. I can’t think of another sector generating such substantial income.”
Expressing concerns about national sovereignty, Nana-Kay remarked, “We’re in a country where a signed gold contract stipulates that any arising issues should be addressed in a foreign arbitration court. Are we truly serious as a nation?”
Drawing parallels to past incidents, he recalled, “In the case of Cecilia Dapaah, Sammy Gyamfi was vocal in his criticisms. Given his current predicament, if I were in his position, I would resign. If he doesn’t, the government should suspend him and investigate his source of income, especially since he claims not to have received any salary since assuming office.”
Nana-Kay’s comments underscore the need for transparency and accountability in public office, urging authorities to take appropriate measures to address the situation.
