Abuakwa: Robbers who couldn’t get much from a house kidnap a wife, demand GHC20,000 (Video)
A young married woman has been abducted by robbers in Abuakwa during the wee hours of Wednesday.
The Asonomahene of the Atwima traditional council reacting to the sad development on Kessben TV told Nyakoh Abronomah that a search party was held in Abuakwa after the incident but the young woman has still not been found.
According to him, the robbers came to the house around 1:30 am and after finishing their operation they took away the woman and said that they will be needing GHC20,000 before they will release her.
It is believed that the robbers may be residents of the Atwuma district due to what the various eyewitnesses have so far stated confirming that they did not come by car.
The eyewitnesses further stated that the kidnappers did only come to abduct but they made away with valuables and cash during their attack in the house.
