Andy Kerm hints about a perfect format GFA is considering to replace demoted Ashantigold in the GPL
It has been a headache for the Ghana Football Association in finding the right format to replace the demoted Ashantigold SC with another club which won’t contradict their regulations.
Ashantigold Sporting Club and Inter Allies were demoted to Division Two, Ghana’s 3rd tier league, after being found guilty of match manipulation by the DC of the GFA.
The Premier League will still have to maintain its 18-club team format in the coming season and the team to replace Ashgold is yet to be known with a few weeks to commence the new premier league season.
Kessben Sports reports that the Leadership of the Ghana Football Association will meet this week to finalize a composition to replace Ashantigold who got their appeal dismissed by the GFA’s appeal committee.
Andy Kerm speaking on Kessben FM’s Extra Time sports with Kwame Mekke hinted about the plan of the GFA in replacing Ashgold SC.
According to the Kessben Media’s tough-speaking sports pundit, the three 2nd placed clubs in the three zones of the just ended division one league will be selected with the 16th placed ( RELEGATED) team in the recently ended Ghana premier league which is Techiman Eleven Wonders to have 4-club mini competition.
The winner of the four-club mini competition will get the slot to be among the 18 clubs that will play in the 2022-23 Ghana premier league.
