We pay our dues, we haven’t encroached on the school land – Mechanics at State Girls in Kumasi (Video)
Mechanics at Kumasi Bantama near the State Girls Experimental School have debunked claims that they have encroached on land belonging to the school.
The authorities at the school recently bemoaned that the Mechanics near the school have invaded the school compound which has been affecting teaching and learning.
According to the headmistress of the school, the activities of the mechanics who are just under their nose have had a deleterious effect on academic activities.
She stressed that the majority of the students can no longer visit the urinal of the school which she says has almost been encircled by the mechanics.
Meanwhile, the mechanics say they did not illegally settle at the current place they work now.
According to them, they rightfully went through all necessary processes with the then Kumasi Metropolitan Authorities before acquiring the land.
They stressed that since they acquired the land to work there, they have been supporting the school with school items time in and time out and have been paying their dues.
