Islamic Senior High School Shooting: The students did not have police permit to demonstrate – Authorities
The Authorities at the Islamic Senior High School have said the students who went to demonstrate on 13th June 2022 did not have any permit from the police before hitting the streets on Monday morning.
The police in a bid to disperse the protesting students allegedly opened tear gas at the protesting students leading to over 30 students collapsing and being hospitalized.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ghana Muslims Mission, Alhaji Boakye speaking in an interview with Kessben FM’s Mallam Yaya stressed the students did not seek any permission from the police before going for the demonstration.
The students however say, they gave out a prior notice that they will be embarking on a demonstration on Monday after a vehicle knocked one of their teachers in front of the school.
