Amenfi West Mce tours eight communities to ascertain their challenges
The Municipal cheif Executive for Amenfi West Municipality, Hon Lord Nana Tandoh in accompaniment with Mr. Saaka Ibrahim, Coordinating Director, Hon. Azure, Presiding member, Heads of Department on Tuesday, 7th June, 2022 toured eigth(8) communities which include
Mmrakrom, Atwerekwaw,
Aniantentem, Fobikrom, Anwiamu, Prestea nkwanta and Nyame dikan respectively.
The purpose of the engagement was to have a one on one interaction with the communities and to know their problems and some challenges facing the communities.
The challenges of the various communities were largely lack of furniture in the basic schools, Electricity, poor road network, lack or poor telecommunication network, lack of portable drinking water, lack of teachers in some schools and lack social centers.
The MCE in his address promised the communities of his commitment and efforts to help solve the identifiable problems.
Hon Lord Nana Tandoh used the ocassion to present bags of cement to Mmrakrom 20 bags,
Atwerekwaw 20 bags,
Fobikrom 20 bags,
Maame Donkor, 20 bags
Dorcas, 20bags
Prestea Nkwanta, 50 and bags, Awiamu 20 bags
He further mentioned that the Assembly will embark on the construction of 100 boreholes to some communities.
The Chiefs and opinion leaders of the communities visited Most thanked the MCE and his entourage for their timely visit and requested him to periodically.
He encouraged all communities to emulate the habit of communalism and self help projects to ease tension on government considering the global economic crunch globally of which Ghana is no exception, he added.
