N/R: Northern Regional Fire Service holds Open Day
The Northern regional Fire service Command held an Open Day as part of the Fire Safety Week Celebration under the theme Safer Environment key to investment.
Student’s and Pupils were invited to join and participate in the open day celebration.
Hajia Jemima Musah, Regional Fire Safety Officer said, it’s important to educate the public on how to prevent, manage and fight Fire when there’s Fire outbreak and accidents.
She added that, they always have difficulties in accessing the locations or victims of Fire outbreaks due to lack of attention on the road when rushing to safe lives and properties.
Speaking to the Media, Adam Samiratu student of Tamale Business Senior High School, said they will always go out to also educate their families and friends on the importance, Prevention, managing and how to fight Fire when the need arises.
As part of the week celebration the Monday 30th was held as the Launch and Quiz, Tuesday was Float along the principal streets of Tamale. Wednesday was Inspection and education at institutions, Hotels and Markets, Today Thursday is an Open Day and tomorrow Friday will be Simulation exercise.
