Gunmen Kidnap Methodist Church Prelate, Two Others In Abia

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Samuel Kanu-Uche,

The cleric was kidnapped alongside Rt. Rev. Dennis Mark, the Methodist Bishop of Owerri, and the Prelate’s Chaplain on Sunday.

They were kidnapped along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, Geoffrey Ogbonna, confirmed the abduction to one of our correspondents.

“The incident is quite unfortunate and the Abia State Police Command has put in place efforts to ensure that he is rescued alongside others and where possible, to arrest the people behind this dastardly act.
