Current Kotoko players have gotten it easy, Middendorp would have slashed their salaries with this bad run – Shila Alhassan (Video)

According to the former Asante Kotoko player, Shila Alhassan, during his time with the Kumasi based football club, if the club goes on a bad run, the salaries of the playing body were slashed by the head coach of the team, Ernst Middendorp.

Asante Kotoko, who currently leads the Ghana premier league with 56 points has gone 5 games with only a win.

This has led to competing clubs closing the gap on the Kumasi based football club which at a point was leading the premier league table with double figures.

The ex-player speaking, on Extra Time on Kessben TV recounted how they were made to get their gusto back when the club goes on a bad run.

He revealed Ernst Middendorp, the then coach of the club would have ensure the salaries of then players were chopped down just to revitalize the playing body to winning ways.
