Atiwa East: ‘If they disqualified me because I’m an ewe, then they don’t understand politics’ – NPP chairman hopeful Kojo Amegah
Constituency chairman hopeful for the NPP in the Atiwa East Constituency, Kafui Kojo Amegah was disqualified after being vetted by the leadership of the party in Atiwa.
Out of the 33 candidates who were vetted for various positions in the party, 32 were approved with the exception of Amegah.
Amegah however could not phantom as to why he was disqualified by the vetting committee.
Though he refused to corroborate to reports that suggest that he might have been booted out because of his ethnic background.
Reacting to the claims, Amegah told Kwame Appiah Kubi on Kessben Maakye that if the claims are true then it means the leadership lack basic understanding of politics.
Despite the unjustifiable grounds for disqualification, Amegah says will never switch to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
