Asante Kotoko reportedly rakes GHC600,000 from the game against Hearts at the Baba Yara Staduim

Asante Kotoko raked in a gross amount of GHC600,000 from the gate proceeds with their game against Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday Kessben Sports have learned.

The game which saw Asante Kotoko beat the bitterest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 becomes the most attended home game of the Kumasi based football club.

In spite of the fine form of the porcupine warriors, stadium attendance for the home games of the club has not been encouraging for Kotoko.

That was however not to add on to a fixture against Accra Hearts of Oak. With a number of initiatives that were introduced by the management of the club, the supporters thronged in huge numbers.

For the first time, E-ticketing was introduced giving supporters the opportunity to buy tickets online prior to the game. That obviously accounted for the club grossing over GHC600,000.
