Bolt Drivers Storm Bolt office over unfair treatment, call on Gov’t to create a Local Ride-Hailing App
A good number of Ride-hailing drivers on Tuesday 5th April 2022 stormed the office of Bolt in Accra to present their petition to the Ride-hailing company.
The drivers hit the streets to protest against what they describe as unfair treatment and condition of services.
Public Relations officer of the online drivers, Nana Yaw, speaking with Nyarkoh Abronomah on Kessben Breaking News (Kessben TV) expressed dissatisfaction over how the online transport companies have been treating their plight as drivers with disdain.
Nana Yaw divulged that the online companies make so much money indicating that the percentages they charge from the drivers are so high.
He cited a number of reasons in their petition with the major one being the issue of security.
The PRO urged the Government of Ghana to create a similar app with more flexible conditions which can make some good cash for the state.
The drivers on 6th April 2022 will go to the Uber office in Accra to present the same petition.
