The public relations officer of the University of Education, Winneba, Ernest Adu Azutiga has confirmed 2 of their students have so far died from the accident at Asuboi, a suburb on the Suhum-Nsawam road last Sunday.
The PRO speaking on Kessben Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi stated there were 35 students on the bus heading to Winneba from Dormaa.
Contrary to early reports that 9 students died from the accident, Ernest Azutiga stressed that only students have so far been confirmed dead.
He noted that 5 students who were injured are currently at the hospital receiving treatment with 2 having a high degree of injuries.
According to eyewitnesses’ report, The incident happened after the bus they were travelling on from Dormaa to Winneba crashed into a stationery articulated truck.
