Blame National Leadership For The Pooling Stations Brouhaha-Musah Superior

An aspiring candidate for the position of General Secretary in the upcoming national executives election of NPP in July 2022 has poo-pooed the party’s national leadership. According to Mr Musah Superior an ardent member of the party, the leadership has failed to conduct free, fair and transparent pooling stations elections for the party.

Speaking on the on-going elections across the country, he bemoaned the nefarious machinations that have characterised the whole exercise in some constituencies. ” I put the blame squarely on the current national executive doorstep for the vandalism and chaos bedeviling the elections. Our forefathers would be turning in their graves for this unfortunate development. It all boils down to planning ; they failed to plan well so here we are” ! he cried out.

The aspiring contestant argued further that in big and widespread elections like these, the General Secretary should have come out with well defined plan to avoid some of these hiccups because “if you fail to plan then you plan to fail ” . He postulated that the Pooling Stations elections are even more important than any elections in the party because if the party doesn’t select credible dedicated officers to man the localities, then the party may not get good leaders elected at regional and national levels as well as good presidential material for the party.

“I learnt that the forms have been bought, stolen or hidden from prospective contestants. Some MPs, Regional Executives, Constituency Executives have taken most of the forms to prevent contestants from obtaining the forms. What this means is that we would not have transparent and credible elections and it doesn’t speak well of the party. So people want to come to power by stealing their mandate” ? he queried. Musah Superior therefore chastised the current leadership and called for their complete ouster.

He told the host that this cannot happen at his tenure because he will plan ahead of time to avoid some of these bottlenecks.
