Account to Ghanaians about the COVID-19 fund before You talk about E-levy – Fuseini Donkor (Video)
Former DCE for Sekyere Afram Plains under the NDC regime, Fuseini Donkor has asked the Akufo-Addo led Government to account for the Covid-19 fund before pleading on Ghanaians to accept E-levy.
Fuseini Donkor reckons Akufo-Addo’s administration has not been transparent enough to make a proper account to the people about state funds.
The former DCE speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Kwame Appiah stated that the NPP government woefully failed to account Ghanaians about the COVID-19 fund which received a lot of financial donations.
He stressed that the government should do the needful by accounting to Ghanaians about the COVID-19 fund before they will have the moral right to plead on Ghanaians to accept the E-levy.
The Government is currently on a nationwide regional tour pleading on Ghanaians to accept the new tax which the nation stands to rake close to 7billion Ghana cedis annually according to their estimation.
