Kotoko wants Government to increase stadium attendance to 50% in the 2nd round

Asante Kotoko playing their home games at the traditional home grounds, the Baba Yara Sports stadium obviously has been a boast for the Kumasi-based football club.

The Ashanti regional circles’ chairman of the club Obeng Sekyere has called on the Government and all other stakeholders to increase the stadium attendance from the agreed 25% to 50% due to the measures taken by Government to fight COVID-19.

Obeng Sekyere speaking to Kessben TV reporters after Asante Kotoko beat Accra Lions at the Baba Yara stadium underscored that the team playing at their favorite grounds this season has been a major plus.

Kotoko played their homes games at the Accra Sports Stadium last season due to the renovations work at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

After the first round of the Ghana premier league, the Kumasi-based football club comfortably sits at the top of the Ghana premier league.
