All Market women at (Dr Mensah) Borla market thrown out by KMA (Video)
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has expelled all traders at the Borla market near Dr. Mensah in Kumasi.
This follows after a clean-up exercise by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly ahead of the Asantehemaa’s 5th Anniversary celebration.
Wednesday 16th February will mark the 5th anniversary of the enstoolment of Nana Konadu Yiadom as the Asantehema.
As part of the preparation to mark the 5th anniversary of the Queen-mother of Asanteman, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly embarked on the project of cleaning up the city.
The place which has always been congested with traders now looks deserted after the traders were sacked from the place.
The assembly has since demarcated a place for the traders to resettle at the Race-course market in Bantama.
