E-levy Motion: NDC is lying, No Surprises Were Pulled on Them in Parliament – Majority leader comes clear

Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency and the Majority leader for parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has denied claims by the minority that they were not informed that the E-levy bill was part of the business of the day on Tuesday 29th March 2022 when the bill was passed.

The Minority had to stage a walkout from parliament after Finance minister Ofori Attah moved the motion on the floor of parliament.

According to the minority, the E-levy bill was not part of the business for the day therefore thought it prudent to walk out.

The bill was however passed regardless of the absence of the minority. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu speaking in an interview with Kwame Appiah Kubi on Kessben FM Maakye rubbished the claims by the minority.

The Suame MP noted that they had earlier informed the house about considering a number of bills to be moved including the controversial E-levy.
