Court grants Sekondi-Takoradi MCE bail for a road traffic offence and alleged assault of a police officer.
The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Abdul-Mumin Issah has been granted bail after spending one night in police custody for a road traffic offence and alleged assault of a police officer.
He was arraigned in court Friday morning for dangerous driving and alleged assault of a police officer.
He was charged on three counts of assault of a public officer, offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace and disturbing the peace in a public place contrary to Sections 205, 207 and 298 respectively of the Criminal and Other Offences Act of 1960, Act 29.
The court granted him a GH¢100,000 bail on one charge and a self-recognisance bail on the other.
The case has been adjourned to March 17, 2022.
