Former vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has said they will not sit down for the executive committee of the football association to impose their ideas on them.
This follows a meeting held by the executive committee of the football association with all the division one clubs in Ghana last Friday (17th December 2021) to discuss structure and measures designed to improve the division league.
After the said meeting, reports have emerged indicating the football association is considering reducing the electoral college of the division one clubs from 48 to 18.
George Afriyie who is the Bankroller of the Division one club, Susubiribi FC, speaking on Kessben TV with Joe Laka after their meeting noted that they held a successful meeting with the FA but he is however dismayed to have learned about the FA’s intent to beat down the electoral college to 18.
He cautioned the football association that they will not sit aloof for such to happen.
‘I want to sound this warning that as long as some of us live and continue to invest in football, we will continue to resist any attempt to get only a few people to impose their ideas on the entire membership of the Ghana football association” George Afriyie told Joe Laka.
