Prez Akufo-Addo’s Performance Has Been Disappointing – lawyer Kakra Essamuah

Communication Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), lawyer Kakra Essamuah says as a politician he is extremely disappointed by the performance of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He disclosed this to the host of Maakye Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben FM on Wednesday

According to him, before the NPP came into power in the year 2001, their ambition was to fight and overthrow the NDC government through the ballot box under the late former president John Jerry Rawlings regime. He and his party were to ensure that free speech, independent institutions, an effective economy, political stability, respectable and predictable judiciary are guaranteed. But all these ambitions of the NPP under the watch of Nana Akufo-Addo has been disintegrated.

He mentioned that there’s no freedom of speech in the country in the sense that there’s too much partiality in the government when it comes to opposition speeches. To support his argument, he said the majority of radio stations owned by the NDC have been shut down because they speak on issues that have to do with the current government.

“The greatest worry of most Ghanaians is unemployment which majority of these were created by President Nana Akufo-Addo”, Lawyer Kakra Essamuah intimated on Kessben FM. He further indicated that an amount of Ghc 21billion was used in collapsing banks where Nana Addo could use Gh9billion in saving these Banks.

He said, “government should have considered the number of people that were going to unemployed as a result in collapsing the banks“.

Lawyer Essamuah expressed his displeasure with the judiciary over the past years. He stated there are murders and other cases that have been ignored by the court and its action is uncalled for therefore he questions the work of the attorney general.

He also said the president gives no importance to the 8 lives that were lost during the 2020 presidential elections. “Akufo-Addo does not mind he is walking as a president on the head of the 8 people who lost their lives during the election and if he gave an importance to these cases we would know the state of these cases,” he said
