We will arrest fake prophets to protect Ghanaian citizens – DSP Alexander Obeng
Following a recent prophecy made by Jesus Ahoufe to Shatta Wale, which led to the arrest of the dancehall artiste and the pastor, some Ghanaians have opined various opinions about the subject.
DSP Alexander Obeng, Acting Public Affairs of the Ghana police has told Ghanaians that, the IGP George Akuffo Dampare’s decision on the arrest of doomed prophets over fake prophecies is to protect Ghanaians.
According to him on Maakye show, the constitutional Law protects every single citizen in the country but looking at the way things were going in the country, the religious heads, police, and lawyers had to come together to find ways and means to curb such reckless prophecies.
He mentioned that ‘when God reveals something to you, you should go to the person and deliver it to them. “anyone who fakes prophesies to win the heart of the public will be sent to court for further investigations” He said.
According to the DSP, any prophesy published by a Media house without their consent will be held before the court of competent jurisdiction.
