Host of Kessben Maakye, Kwame Appiah Kubi (Mr Speaker) has stated that the speaker of parliament Alban Bagbin should do the needful by resigning from his position if he knows his health cannot make him consistently present in parliament.
The call for resignation follows the Speaker of parliament habitual travelling to the United Arab Emirates for medical checkups and treatment.
Kwame Appiah Kubi speaking on Kessben Maakye questioned why the speaker of parliament had to embark on a number of travels knowing very well that there are issues before the house which ought to be sat on.
A section of the public have asserted that the speaker of parliament has been deliberately scheduling his travels to avoid sitting on the famous E-levy subject matter in the house to give the right balance for the minority caucus.
The host of Kessben Maakye noted that the country needs to move thus called on the speaker of parliament to resign if his health would not allow him to work. He stressed that the excessive excuse of travelling for medical checkups have become way too much.
