Deputy Energy Minister Commissions D/A Block In Ada

Deputy Minister of Energy honourable William Owuraku Aidoo has commissioned Faith Kope Kindergarten school in Big Ada, a district in the Accra region of Ghana. For the past years, Faith Kope kindergarten has been operating under trees where pupil move from one place to another due to the change in weather because of lack of infrastructure.

On June 1st, 2021, the Valco Trust Fund and the Ministry of Energy held a press conference at Alisa Hotel and announced to the entire nation of an initiative to eliminate all schools under trees and the reconstruction of all deplorable school structures in all part of Ghana.

Speaking at the commissioning of Faith Kope D/A block, Mr. Kwaku Yeboah the AG. executive Director of Valco Trust Fund said, ‘I indicated that we were building the first 18 schools across the country as part of the project and that in Greater Accra region and it is Faith Kope D/A kindagarten that we chose to be the first among the 18 schools.

Mr Kelvin Kwaku Yeboah said they built a two block classroom, a tiled headmistress office, one dinning hall, a playground and a poly tank. He therefore expressed his enormous support and gratitude to the Honourable deputy minister of Energy William Owuraku Aidoo, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his chief director Mr Lawrence Aporse for their enormous support towards the school under trees project.

Honourable William Owuraku Aidoo also said, the beautiful structure should be maintained and serve the community well for the years ahead. He pleaded with the the district assembly, the management of the school to use this as a bait to ask for more.

The Headmistress of Faith Kope D/A kindargaten expressed her gratitude to Valco Trust Fund, ministry of energy and Ghana Education Service and appealed to the government for JHS school to be built in the town.
