Door-to-door campaign to drive Kotoko fans to stadium won’t work, engage all media houses – Andy Kerm
The attendance of Kumasi Asante Kotoko games at the Baba Yara sports stadium has not been impressive even though the Kumasi based Sporting Club has been playing quite well.
The chairman of the Asante Kotoko supporters front, Christopher Damanya recently revealed in a TV interview on Kessben TV that to whip up the interest for the fans to patronize Kotoko home games, they will soon be embarking on a door-to-door campaign to appeal to the fans.
Sports journalist with Kessben Media, Andy Kerm reacting to the strategy by the Kumasi based football club stated that much has to be done by the club to get the supporters to the stadium.
Andy stressed the club should involve the traditional media and all media houses to promote their games instead of focusing only on social media promotion.
He advised that the club should desist from engaging only their media friends in the traditional media space.
