Don’t waste money by contesting Mahama for the flagbearership position – Victor Smith
A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Victor Smith has advised his fellow members of the party not to waste their resources to contest the former president John Dramani Mahama for the NDC flagbearership position.
The diplomat speaking in reaction to reports circulating in the local media about Dr. Kwabena Duffour’s intention to contest for flagbearership position of the NDC ahead of the 2024 election said there’s nothing wrong with Duffour’s intention as claimed by Gabby Otchere Darko but it will be a waste of resources.
Victor Smith urged his fellow party members to throw their weight together and stand behind former president John Mahama to win the election in 2024.
“See, when any other person wants to contest John Dramani Mahama for the NDC flagbearership position, we don’t have any problem with that but you really need to assess yourself before coming,” He said.
“You really need to assess yourself not to waste your resources. The history is there, you can only have 5% out of the votes if you contest Mahama. I will rather advise all to put their weight behind John Mahama so that in 2024 we will take the power from the hardship administration of the NPP” He made know during a radio interview with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben Accra 92.9, Kessben 93.3, and Kessben TV.
