Mama Pat Distributes Lighting Systems To Electoral Areas
The Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiagyei has stressed the need for residents to live and go about their duties without fear or intimidation in Asokwa.
To this end she has presented a set of 10 complete lighting systems to the Assemblyman for Ahensan Estate, Nana Yaw Wiredu and plans to distribute the rest to the other 11 electoral areas in due course.
Addressing residents at a community engagement forum at Ahensan-Estate in the company of the MCE of Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah, Madam Appiagyei noted that people can only be able to contribute their quota to the development of Asokwa when they know they would be secure in doing same.
This, she noted presents the opportunity for stakeholders to do their part to ensure the citizenry feel safe at all times.

Responding to some of the concerns of the residents, Madam Appiagyei said just as the NPP government started with the fixing of roads in Asokwa, youth employment and women development would also follow.
She noted that more job opportunities will be coming the way of Asokwa people and with more constructions in sight the youth will be able to access avenues of employment.
Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah, MCE for Asokwa urged the people to support the MP so as to lobby for more development projects.
He said just as Madam Appiagyei lobbied for Asokwa to be made a Municipality more development projects would accrue to Asokwa when the MP gets the neded prayers and support from residents.

Receiving the items on behalf of the residents, Nana Yaw Wiredu thanked the MP for the gesture.
He noted that security was a shared responsibility and such support from persons like the MP and MCE goes a long way in helping out.
Nana Yaw promised to look out for vantage areas in the community to put the lighting system to use.
He assured of periodic maintenance so as to facilitate the longevity of the lighting system.
