Agenda 111: We’re going to use 15 months to build 111 hospitals – Dr Nsiah Asare
The presidential adviser of the Akufu- Addo let government on health, Dr. Nsiah Asare has disclosed that the government of Ghana will use not more than 15 months to complete 111 hospitals across Ghana under the Agenda 111 project.
In a bid to tackle Covid-19 and also revive the health sector with heightened health facilities within the sector, the Government launched ”Agenda 111”. Work will commence after sod cutting on Tuesday, 17th August 2021 at Trede in the Atwima Kwanwoma district of the Ashanti Region.
Dr. Nsiah Asare speaking on Kessben’s breaking news program with Ali Baba Dankambari said the project is designed to build 102 district state of the art hospitals across all districts in Ghana. He noted that there will be 7 regional hospitals and 3 psychiatric hospitals all among making up to a total of 111 hospitals.
When quizzed by the host of the program about the timelines of the project, Dr. Nsiah Asare stressed that it is not going to take more than 15 months. “It is a project which designed to be completed within a year and a very few months, It is going to take one year and a very few months to complete, before December next year, it will be completed,” He said.
