Bawjiase :Paradise City of Faith Sanctuary supports Country – Side Children’s Welfare Home

The Paradise City of Faith Sanctuary church, headquartered at Sapeiman and founded by Reverend Dr Seth Lartey in the Greater Accra Region and currently with 18 branches in the country has made a donation of some assorted items to the Country – Side Children’s Welfare Home formerly known as Bawjiase orphanage home in the Central Region of Ghana.

The assorted items included bags of maize, rice, toiletries, soaps, cooking oil, confectionery, biscuits etc.
The church which is celebrating it’s second anniversary has already done similar donations to the Kukurantumi children home in the Eastern Region.


Speaking after the short presentation at the school premises, Pastor Silvester Anku reiterated the vision of the church in supporting children in their activities and also helping to impact their lives positively through Christ the leader of the Christian faith.


He quoted James 1:27 in response to a question asked in the interaction and it reads: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world”. Pastor Anku called on well meaning Ghanaians to support the needy children in the society.

Reverend Mrs Lartey, Pastor Silvester Anku and several elders of the church were there to support the brief donation ceremony.

Mr Osei Owusu, the Administrator of the Home who received the items on behalf of the Home expressed their profound gratitude to Paradise City of Faith Sanctuary and prayed for long life as well as the growth of the church.


Teenage pregnancy which is the number one cause of the the increasing numbers at orphanage, Mr Osei Owusu admonished young girls to dress decently, take their vocation or school seriously so they don’t fall victim to unwanted pregnancies which brings untold hardship to them and the society they live in.

The home which has existed since 1982, currently have 65 children and ran nursery to junior high school for the children.

So far 12 students who came through the home have graduated from various Universities in the country, with some getting first class and currently pursuing masters programs.

The administrator called for more donor support to help the home to continue to give opportunities to the children and also help build their future for the socio-economic development of the nation.
