Presidential candidate aspirant of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Joe Ghartey, has donated towards the construction of the Volta Regional branch of the NPP office complex.
He made a cash donation of Ghc 25,000 towards the project.
The sod-cutting ceremony of the regional NPP office complex was held in Ho on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
The ultramodern complex, when completed, will serve as the headquarters for the NPP’s operations in the region.
Joe Ghartey, who spent several years of his youth in Hohoe, describes himself as a Voltarian by choice.
He made the donation with the aim of helping improve the party’s operations in the Volta Region.
Mr. Ghartey, who has been preaching for the NPP to be a kinder and gentler party, is convinced that resourcing the NPP is critical to it retaining power in 2024.
