Medeama defeated by Ittihad

Medeama suffered a painful 1-0 loss to Al Ittihad Tripoli in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup fixture in Tunisia on Sunday.

El Bulki grabbed the match-winner for the Libyan club from the penalty spot just before the end of the first half at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax, which was empty.
The North Africans will visit the Sekondi Essipong Stadium for the reverse fixture against Coach Tom Strand’s Mauves and Yellows on March 20.
Being Ghana’s only hope in this season’s Africa inter-club competitions, Medeama SC would be hoping for a resounding win over Al Ittihad Tripoli in the second leg to progress to the second round, where they could face either DR Congo’s FC Saint Eloi Lupopo or Sudanese club Al Ahly Shendi.
