Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea could revive their pursuit for Senegalese winger Sadio Mane after Southampton decided to lower their valuation for the player.
The 23-year-old had attracted interest from several top European sides last summer following an excellent debut season with the South Coast outfit.
However, he has struggled in his second year with the Saints, thus leading to suggestions that he may seek a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Sources now reveal Ronald Koeman’s side are willing to let go of Mane in the summer following his wretched form in the English league this term.
It is added that the Saints will accept a fee of around £15m, about half the price of what he was valued last year.
Manchester United and Chelsea are among the leading candidates competing for the player’s signature, whilst Manchester City could also have a say on the transfer tussle.
Mane has scored just three league goals for the Saints this campaign.
