Woyome faces judgment today
The Appeals court will today determine the fate of businessman Alfred Woyome in the protracted case regarding the GHC51 million judgment debt payment.
The Court is expected to rule on criminal charges proffered against him by the State.
In a March 12, 2015 judgment by an Accra High Court presided over by the now dismissed judge, Justice John Adjet Nasam, Mr. Woyome was acquitted and discharged unconditionally of all two charges against him.
The Attorney General went to the Court of Appeal to challenge the decision of the lower court. If today’s ruling goes against Woyome, he may be sentenced for defrauding the state by false pretense.
