Police Boss to be sworn in today

President John Mahama will today, Friday, February 19 swear into office COP John Kudalor as Inspector General of Police.
Mr. Kudalor was appointed by the President to the position in November 2015, and has since been acting in that capacity.
He took over from the former IGP Mohammed Alhassan who had commenced his accumulated leave prior to his retirement at the time.
Until his appointment, Mr Kudalor had held the position of Director General of Police Operations from 2009 to date. He has a 27-year wealth of experience in the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and the Ghana Police Service.
A product of the Swedru Senior High and the Aggrey Memorial schools for his GCE Ordinary and Advanced levels, respectively, Mr Kudalor also studied in the then Soviet Union, now Russia, and has since done a number of courses.
He speaks English, Russian and French fluently and lectures in Ethics in Law Enforcement at the Ghana Police Academy. He held several positions, including Head of Investigations and Regional Director of the BNI, Deputy Commander, Special Police Command, and Tema Regional Police Commander.
