Ghana Premier League Champions Ashantigold have beaten Algerian side MO Bejaia in the first leg of their CAF Champions League clash.
Defender Tijani Joshua scored the only goal for the Miners in the second half to give them an advantage ahead of the second leg tie.
Ashgold will travel to Algeria for the return encounter on scheduled for February 28.
Winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the 1/16 stage of the competition where they could face the winner of the match between Tunisia’s Club Africain and A.S. Tanda of Cote D’Ivoire.
