‘Brave’ taxi driver receives new car from Koala

The Management of KOALA Supermarket has presented a brand new Chevrolet Optra Saloon Car to the taxi driver who foiled a robbery attack on a KOALA employee, Lydia Horsu at Cantonments in Accra. The vehicle was heavily damaged after the driver rammed into the fleeing robbers who were on a motorbike, and pushed them to a drain.
The Head of Marketing and Public Relations, Christal Beeko told Citi News the presentation was in fulfilment of a promise made to the taxi driver after his heroic deed came to light.
“This was the promise we made to him when he saved our employee…Koala Management promised to give him a car and we finally got it today by God’s grace and we were able to present it him. We gave him the keys so he is a car owner”
“We wanted to do something for him for what he did. Our colleague is very dear to us, she has been with the company for many years…”
Meanwhile President Mahama has promised to reward the taxi driver with a house for his brave efforts
Vice President K. B. Amissah-Arthur made the announcement when he hosted the taxi driver at the Flagstaff House Monday.
